About Bookin' For Lookin' Founder

Mark McCowan
Mark McCowan doesn’t let vision impairment get in the way of his goals. As an avid runner of half marathons, he founded his nonprofit organization, Bookin’ for Lookin’ Foundation, in 2013 to raise awareness of the struggles people with vision impairment face. Since then, he’s raised over $125,500 to support nonprofit organizations that help blind and visually impaired individuals.
After losing his sight in his teenage years, Mark began running at the age of 40 after being inspired by a blind triathlon athlete. He thought to himself, "If he can do it, why can't I?" With his foundation, he hopes to inspire others to take an active role in their community.
The Bucks County Association For The Blind And Visually Impaired (BCABVI) is the main recipient of the race's proceeds, which have enhanced the organization's essential services and programs. When you participate in the race, you make a difference in people's lives throughout Bucks County.
